G03 / TRAVEL BASICS

Checking in at a hotel

Keep your reservation handy and confirm the details with reception.

01

Have your reservation ready

Check the property’s full name, address and arrival date. Similar names can refer to different buildings. Show reservation details directly to the property; do not enter your name or booking number into this travel kit.

02

Speak to reception

Use the reservation card and show your booking confirmation. Follow the property’s check-in instructions. Room access depends on your reservation conditions, so ask first if you arrive early.

03

Confirm the details of your stay

Read the property’s information about checkout, meals and facilities. Ask one question at a time and confirm the answer. Get Wi-Fi instructions directly from staff and do not post access details on shared websites.

04

Ask about storing bags

Ask reception whether luggage storage is available before check-in or after checkout. Confirm accepted items, any charge and the collection deadline. Keep any claim ticket and check the conditions before making plans.
