Osanbashi Pier

Osanbashi Pier is located in the heart of Yokohama, the closest port to Tokyo, and is considered one of the most important ports for Japan’s cruise industry. It has welcomed countless cruise ships from all over the world since its port opening in 2005, even giant cruise ships from the Greater Tokyo Area. Yokohama has become a new landmark for international trading and modern international trading thanks to its port. By connecting Yokohama to the world by way of sea and sky routes, it has become an important gateway for travelers from Tokyo and other parts of Japan.  

Osanbashi Pier in Yokohama is the international cruise ship terminal and home port of the Japan’s luxury cruise ship Asuka II. It is well known for its beautiful views of Yokohama’s coastal cityscape and an innovative architectural design which blends form with function. The pier not only fulfills a practical function, but also provides a great place for couples to spend their evenings. The brick warehouse of Osanbashi has become a symbol of Yokohama’s port culture and its connection to other parts of the world. As one of the major attractions in Minato Mirai 21 area, it also serves as a popular spot for cruise ships to call at. 

The pier is a popular destination for fashion and wedding photographers, due to its striking appearance. The pier has a large multi-purpose hall on the 2nd floor where visitors can find ticketing booths, a departure/arrival lobby, and customs. There are also many shops, cafes and restaurants located in the lobby.
