DiverCity Odaiba Tokyo

DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, under its theater-city-space concept, opened in 2012 and is the newest hotspot in Tokyo not only for shopping, but for fun and surprises. Hidden inside of this gorgeous shopping centre is an attraction for those looking to immerse themselves into the world of VR. Located on the artificial island of Odaiba, located on the Tokyo Bay, DiverCity is one of the best shopping/dining/entertainment complexes in all of Tokyo.

Odaiba is a man-made island in Tokyo Bay, which seems to specialize in activities primarily appealing to young people (at heart). Accessing Odaiba Odaiba itself may be the attraction, since views over Rainbow Bridge and the Port of Tokyo and the waterfront areas are pretty impressive by way of Yurikamome elevated trains and boats. The Yurikamome crosses the Rainbow Bridge to reach Odaiba from Shimbashi, and offers a stunning view of Tokyos harbor and waterfront area, and Tokyo’s seaside.

The Rinkai Line links Osaki Station on JR Yamanote Line with Shin-Kiba Station on the JRs Keiyo Line, stopping at the Tokyo Teleport and the Kokusai Tenjijo underground station at Odaiba along the way. Several Toei Bus lines also connect different locations in Odaiba to Tokyo Station and other areas of Tokyo. Look no further than Odaiba, home to such entertainment areas as Joypolis and TeamLab Borderless.

There are multiple store floors, covering most major Japanese brands, as well as a number of international ones. A store that allows you to try some of local dishes like Beef Tongue Baking, which uses traditions and crafts from Sendai, Miyagi. There is a businessman that is a huge fan of a legendary ramen restaurant that is responsible for opening a new restaurant in Tokyo station, who asked him to open his own ramen shop at the station again.

The legendary ramen restaurant has restarted in Tokyo Station, and, as you can see, people keep making a long, long queue just like they did back in the old days. If you go to Kyurin in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, you will not need to wait that long, and, you will be able to get really good ramen just like at the main store. There is free wifi at each level, and coin-operated lockers for your bags are available at 2nd, 5th, and 6th floors at the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza shopping center.

Located in the same shopping center, even the same floor, the Tyffonium is an incredible 10-15-minute experience for anyone that enjoys walking around or floating in virtual reality worlds. As Seasons Japan experts, we have created the ultimate package tours to Japan, including destinations such as Odaiba. Gundam Front Tokyo offers a variety of fun activities for Gundam fans, including mobile uit CGs, scenes from past Gundam series, photo opportunities with your favorite Gundam characters, and Gundam Archive for you to learn the terminologies.
